What is the difference between permanent and portable systems?
A portable system is a unit you set on the floor of the towed car and can move between vehicles. A permanent system installs once and stays hidden in the car, so there is nothing to set up each time you hook up. Both apply the brakes safely -- the choice is convenience versus a one-time install.
