What is a portable braking system?
A portable system is a self-contained unit you set on the floor of your towed vehicle. It presses the brake pedal in step with your motorhome, then lifts back out so you can use it in another vehicle. Nothing is permanently installed.
Portable or permanent -- which should I choose?
Choose
portable if you tow different vehicles or want to move the brake from car to car. Choose
permanent if you tow the same vehicle regularly and want it ready every time with nothing to set up. Both stop you just as safely.
Will a portable system work in my towed vehicle?
Portable units fit most flat-towable cars and trucks -- they rest on the driver's-side floor and brace against the seat. Tell us your towed vehicle and we will confirm the right fit and any adapters you may need.
