What braking system does SMI make?
SMI builds the Air Force One, a permanent supplemental brake made for motorhomes with air brakes (diesel pushers). It applies your towed vehicle's brakes in proportion to your coach for smooth, controlled stops.
Who is the Air Force One for?
Owners of diesel pushers and other air-brake coaches. If your motorhome is a gas model with hydraulic brakes, the Air Force One is not the right fit -- call us and we will point you to the correct system, such as a Roadmaster or Blue Ox.
Is the Air Force One portable or permanent?
Permanent. It installs once and stays in place, braking automatically with nothing to position or set up each time you hook up.
How does the Air Force One work?
It connects to your motorhome's existing air brake system. When you brake the coach, it uses that air signal to apply the towed vehicle's brakes in proportion -- a harder stop means harder braking -- with very few parts to fuss with.
