A Crossbar plate uses Roadmaster's quick-disconnect crossbar (kit 910021-00). The arms of a Crossbar-style Roadmaster tow bar latch to that bar. The bar comes off the car when you are not towing.
Roadmaster builds Crossbar two ways.
Removable tabs
- the arms come off when you park.
Classic
- the arms stay on the car. Classic is never removable. Direct-Connect is a different family: the tow bar arms latch to the plate itself. No quick-disconnect crossbar on the car.

Is this removable or Classic?
Crossbar comes both ways. Classic never comes off. This application is built one way - it is not a menu. Call 877-736-2267 and we will say which one this Fusion uses.
I already own a Direct-Connect bar.
This page is Crossbar. Use the Direct-Connect plate for the same vehicle, or change bars. Do not mix families without an adapter conversation.
Can a 2017-2018 Fusion be flat towed?
Roadmaster built a plate. That is not the same as Ford approving four-down towing. Read the recreational-towing section of the owner's manual, or call with the exact year and drivetrain.
