What Installation Looks Like
The Comfort Ride is a bolt-on upgrade. No welding. No cutting. No special equipment beyond standard hand tools and a floor jack. Roadmaster rates the job at 4 to 6 hours for a typical two-axle trailer, which is realistic for a mechanically comfortable DIYer. If you prefer, any trailer dealer or RV service center can install it.

Jack and support the trailer frame
The trailer needs to be lifted so the axles can hang freely. A floor jack and jack stands are the standard tools. Block the trailer wheels as a safety precaution before any work begins.

Remove the existing leaf springs
The factory eye-and-eye leaf springs unbolt from the spring hangers. This is usually the most time-consuming step because bolts can be rusty on older trailers. Standard sockets and penetrating oil are all you need.
