VersaHaul Motorcycle Carriers

Hitch-mounted motorcycle carriers for Class III and Class V receivers. Single and double configurations, ramp-equipped models for solo loading, and raised main tube versions for large touring bikes. Every carrier includes a built-in Class III tow hitch, patented anti-tilt lock bracket, and reflectors at no extra charge -- features no competing carrier offers.

Not sure which model fits your bike and hitch? Call 877-736-2267 -- we will confirm the right carrier for your setup in one conversation.

Small or Lightweight Bike

250cc to 400cc, dirt bikes, smaller cruisers. Start with the VH-50CC or VH-50CCDM for double.

Standard Street or Cruiser

Most mid-size bikes up to 450 lbs. The VH-55-RO single or VH-55-DMRO double are the most popular choices.

Sport Bike

Low ground clearance, aggressive geometry. The VH-SPORT-RO is built specifically for sport bike profiles.

Large Touring Bike

Full-dress Harleys, Gold Wings, Indian touring models. Look at raised main tube options or Class V units. Call us first.

Want to Bring Two Bikes

Double carriers fit two bikes on one hitch. Or start with a single and add the VH-KIT conversion later.

Need to Tow a Trailer Too

Every VersaHaul has a built-in rear tow hitch. Haul the bike and tow up to 3,000 lbs at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Motorcycle Carrier Questions We Hear Every Day

It depends on the model. The VH-50CC and VH-50CCDM are built for smaller bikes -- roughly 400 lbs and under. The VH-55 series handles most street bikes and cruisers up to approximately 450 lbs. The VH-SPORT-RO is rated for sport bikes up to 600 lbs. For heavy touring bikes -- full-dress Harleys, Honda Gold Wings, Indian Challengers -- check your bike's curb weight with gear loaded and call us at 877-736-2267. We will tell you which model handles your bike safely.

Most VersaHaul motorcycle carriers use a standard Class III 2-inch receiver, which is the most common hitch on motorhomes. A few models are available in Class V for heavier loads and larger tow vehicles. Your hitch class is printed on a sticker on the hitch receiver itself -- look for it on the underside near where the receiver tube meets the vehicle frame. If it is not visible or you are unsure, your motorhome's owner manual lists the factory hitch specification. Class III is the right starting point for most buyers.

Yes, if you choose a ramp-equipped model. The VH-55-RO, VH-55-DMRO, VH-50CC, VH-50CCDM, and VH-SPORT-RO all include a loading ramp. You roll the bike up the ramp under its own power, position it against the wheel stop, and strap it down -- no lifting, no second person needed. The ramp stows flat on the carrier frame when not in use. Carriers without the RO suffix in the model number do not include a ramp. If solo loading matters to you, make sure the model you choose has RO in the name.

Most motorhomes have enough rear clearance for a standard VersaHaul carrier. The moveable main rail lets you adjust how far back the carrier extends, which helps with low bumpers and rear-cap overhangs. For motorhomes with a particularly low rear bumper or a rear cap that curves down close to the hitch, the raised main tube option (available on several models) lifts the carrier rail height to prevent contact. If you have a coach with an unusual rear end -- some Class A gas coaches and certain Class C profiles have tight clearances -- call us before ordering and we will walk through the geometry with you.

Yes -- and this is the feature that separates VersaHaul from every other motorcycle carrier on the market. Every VersaHaul carrier has a built-in Class III hitch receiver at the rear of the carrier tube. Attach a trailer ball, connect your trailer, and you can haul your motorcycle and tow a trailer up to 3,000 lbs at the same time from a single hitch receiver on your motorhome. No other manufacturer offers this. The limiting factor is your motorhome's total towing capacity and tongue weight rating -- the carrier itself supports up to 3,000 lbs on its rear hitch.

Reflectors are included with every VersaHaul carrier at no charge. Whether you also need a full taillight kit depends on the states you travel through. Many states require active brake lights and turn signals when any object extends beyond your vehicle's rear lamps. The optional VH-TK taillight kit adds brake lights and turn signals. The VH-TK-LP version adds a license plate light and keeps you legal in all 50 states. If you travel across multiple states or simply want maximum visibility and zero legal questions, adding the taillight kit to your order is the straightforward call. Both are available in the Carrier Accessories section.

The VH-55 is the base single motorcycle carrier without a loading ramp. The VH-55-RO is the same carrier with a ramp included -- RO stands for Ramp Option. Both use the same box-design frame, built-in tow hitch, anti-tilt bracket, and tie-down system. The only difference is the ramp. If you have a second person available for loading or your bike is light enough to push up manually, the VH-55 works fine. If you travel solo or your bike is heavy, the VH-55-RO is the practical choice. The same RO vs. non-RO distinction applies across the double and sport bike models.

Yes. The VH-KIT single-to-double conversion kit is designed exactly for this. If you start with a single carrier and later want to bring two bikes, the conversion kit adds the second carrier position without replacing the whole unit. At $544, it is a cost-effective path compared to buying a double carrier outright from the start. The VH-KIT is listed in this category and in Carrier Accessories.

Connecting the carrier to the hitch takes under five minutes -- slide the receiver tube into the hitch, insert and secure the hitch pin, attach the anti-tilt bracket. Loading the bike and strapping it down takes another five to ten minutes the first time you do it, and less as you get familiar with the setup. There is no drilling, no wiring required for the carrier itself (the taillight kit is a separate optional add-on). Most customers are road-ready the same day the carrier arrives. If you hit a snag during setup, call us at 877-736-2267 and we will walk you through it.
