The CURT RVibrake Shadow (52211) is a permanently installed supplemental brake for the towed vehicle. It applies the toad’s own brakes when the motorhome brakes, so the coach is not dragging the extra weight to a stop. Reaction time is about 0.5 seconds. Tow-mode detection knows when you are hooked up. A built-in charger can put up to 10 amps back into the toad battery. The 7" Command Center tablet and hub show braking in the coach.

What you need to know

- Not for vehicles with standard Hydroboost power-assist brakes. Electric Hydroboost is OK. Confirm your toad before you order.
