It depends on your towed vehicle's weight. Demco offers the lightweight aluminum Aluminator around 5,000 lbs for lighter vehicles, the aluminum Dominator at 7,500 lbs -- their flagship, light enough for easy one-person hookup -- and the steel Excali-Bar 3 at 10,500 lbs for full-size trucks, large SUVs, and heavy vehicles. Match the rating to your towed vehicle's GVWR and we will confirm the fit.
Will a Demco tow bar work with my baseplate?
Demco tow bars connect to Demco baseplates. If you already run a Demco baseplate you are set; if you have another brand, tell us what you have and we will sort out the right bar or adapter before you buy.

drop or rise receiver to bring it in line.
Do I also need a supplemental braking system?
In most cases, yes. A supplemental brake applies the towed vehicle's brakes in step with your motorhome, shortens stopping distance, and is required by law in many US states and Canadian provinces. Demco offers its own Stay-IN-Play DUO system, and we carry other trusted brands too.
