This is the **easiest system to connect and disconnect** and is ideal for motorhome-mounted tow bars (except Sterling). Crossbar-Style This style uses a **crossbar and/or quick-disconnect system** and is necessary if you are using a **Sterling or a car-mounted tow bar**. ---ENSURE SAFE TOWING: KEEP THE TOWBAR LEVELTowing Out of Level is the Leading Cause of Tow System Failure. Confirm the Hitch Height is Correct. **Hi-Lo Hitch Adapters** are available in 2, 4, 6, 8, & 10 inches and various capacities (5,000 - 10,000 lbs). ---SHOP SAFE AND SECURE ---Five Essential Reasons for Supplemental Braking- **1. Safety:** Reduces stopping distance and prevents tow system failure.
- **2. Legal Requirement:** Most states require supplemental brakes if the towed vehicle exceeds **3,000 pounds**.
- **3. Chassis Warranty:** Towing without brakes can **void your motorhome chassis warranty** (e.g., 1,000 lbs for Chevy, 1,500 lbs for Ford).
- **4. Wear and Tear:** Your motorhome brakes will last significantly longer.
- **5. Common Sense:** A supplemental braking system is essential when towing two or three extra tons.
