Description

The baseplate your tow bar hooks to

Vehicle-specific Blue Ox plate for four-down / flat-tow (dinghy) towing. Bolts to the chassis. No welding. Tabs sit tucked when you are not towing. Safe & Easy from the order to the first hookup.

Blue Ox builds one style per vehicle. Check the Other option on this page for which tab you get.

REMOVABLE TAB

Twist-lock arms come off when you park. Clean front on the vehicle.

STANDARD TAB

Fixed arms stay on the plate. Simple, stout hookup.

Install: most of these take about 2 to 4 hours. Factory holes where Blue Ox designed them.

A plate is not the whole kit. You still want:

A Blue Ox tow bar — Avail, Alpha, or the bar you already own
Dinghy lighting — diode BX8848 or bulb-and-socket BX8869 (use the option on this page)
A supplemental brake (Patriot) so the towed vehicle stops with the coach
A fuse bypass if this vehicle needs one in Neutral

Authorized Blue Ox dealer. We honor MAP; call 877-736-2267 with price questions. Free shipping over $100.

A baseplate on a vehicle does not mean that vehicle is approved to flat tow. Check the owner’s manual before you buy.
